Gale was a Marine stationed on Guam in 1923, he typed out a manuscript of a history of Guam written by Governor De La Corte and Father Jose Paloma from a handwritten copy made by Glen Gale and a Quartermaster Sargent Puckette working in the Marine Corps barracks. The typewritten manuscript was made in 1970, long after Gale had retired from the Marines.en_US
