Abstract: Captain Crayton P. Holcomb had a trading store at Yap where he bought copra, beche de mer and trochus while selling rice, knives and tobacco. He lived on a small island called Tabilau, his house was connected to the mainland by a causeway. He had also brought his wife over from Guam, Milagros Flores, known in Yap as ‘Bartola’ Holcomb
