Abstract: Master Gunnery Sergeant Robert Leland Athey, UCMC Retired, wrote a book titled "Please Don't Cry For Me The Ruth Farnsworth Murder Story". This book deals with the investigation into the murder of Ruth Farnsworth in December 1948 in Agana Guam. The main point of the book was to analyze the records and establish if the men convicted of the crime received a fair trial. Description: The Collection of Papers consists of the Reports and summaries from the investigations undertaken into the Ruth Farnsworth Murder and reports of civil rights violations from the men convicted of the crime. The Collection is comprised of 51 folders in archival boxes measuring 2 linear feet. These records were acquired by the author through the Freedom of Information Act and donated to RFK MARC by Historian John K. Treiber in 2006.
