dc.description.abstractTeresa Del Valle was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology by the University of Hawaii in 1974. Later she was a grantee at the East West Center and was awarded the Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii in 1978. From 1975 to 1979, she conducted field work on Guam in the village of Umatac. Her research was conducted in the areas of gender, and sex roles, ethnicity, and urban space.en_US
